January Wrap Up: Reading more, Nosferatu, Babygirl + more
January is always a struggle, but I have found myself reading a lot more, which is delightful, to say the least. I'm in the middle of Dune Messiah, I've revisited a manga I really enjoy, I've started Han Kang's newest book, We Do Not Part, and I've delved into the books of my favourite video game, World of Warcraft, which are kinda trash but fun to read.
I saw a grand total of 2 movies in January: Robbert Eggers' gothic horror masterpiece Nosferatu and Nicole Kidman's new movie Babygirl. Both films are about power and desire, which is perhaps interesting in and of itself.
TV show-wise, it's been a delve into The Sympathizer, based on the book of the same name by Viet Thanh Nguyen - Park Chan-wook wrote, produced and partially directed. I also watched 2 Korean dramas that are vastly different in theme but similar in that they both star Ju Ji-hoon, arguably my favourite Korean actor.
